You will begin to view your personal and professional surroundings with a renewed sense of adventure and possibilities. In fact, I hope you never look at your home, office, or garden in the same passive way again. I encourage you to become alert and conscious of the environments you have created. This month’s newsletter will focus on Powerful Methods to increase Wealth & Prosperity. Before I "Show you the Money" let’s start by defining Feng Shui and what it will do for you.

Show me the Money!!

"Money is the root of all evil… Money isn’t everything...All rich people are miserable…You can’t take it with you when you go…Money can’t buy you love or happiness…Save your money for a rainy day…She is filthy rich…He’s a penny pincher...She married him only for his money".

With all this negative baggage, it’s a miracle that anyone becomes wealthy! These perceptions about money keep many people afraid to really go for it and enjoy unlimited wealth, prosperity and abundance. Money is one of the easiest things to manifest with Feng Shui! Before implementing the Feng Shui recommendations, examine your personal belief systems about prosperity and reject the limiting programming you have been surrounded with.

10 Steps to Manifesting Prosperity with Feng Shui!

Stand in the middle of your home or office with a compass and identify the Southeast…This is your "wealth corner". If the SE section of your home is your bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom, activate the SE corner of your living room or office instead.
The SE is associated with the element of Wood. Make your income grow by adding lush, green, healthy live plants, trees or colorful flowers to the SE corner. Avoid Bonsai plants here. If you have a habit of killing all your plants or let them get dried out and diseased, use silk plants instead. The rustic dried flower wreaths (dead flowers) that are popular in New England DO NOT represent "growth" or prosperity and should be removed immediately. Wooden furniture or decorative accessories, especially rectangular shapes, are wealth stimulators in the SE.
The SE is associated with the Number Four. Place 4 Jade Plants (Money Plants) or other plants in multiples of 4 to super activate for abundance. 4 orange or lime trees are fantastic!
Water makes plants (Stock Portfolios) grow big, healthy and strong. In this volatile stock market, ADD WATER to the SE!!! Water represents money in Feng Shui. Add a small water fountain; bowl of goldfish (8 orange/1 black); or install an aquarium. If you are more conservative and don’t want your wealth to circulate and flow in too fast, add an urn of still water or a vase of flowers in water. My water fountains are never turned off and insure a steady flow of income and new business. Go for it and add a water fountain, birdbath or a water garden to the SE of your garden. Just make sure the water flows towards the house and not away from the house.
Objects made out of Metal destroy your wealth. (Picture an ax chopping down your beloved Money Tree). Make sure this area does not contain metallic furniture or decorative accessories that are made from gold, silver, bronze, copper, steel, etc. Round shapes represent metal and should be avoided.
Fire exhausts Wood and burns your money potential. Do not add candles or excessively bright lights in the SE. Avoid accessories shaped like the sun or those that are triangular in shape as they also represent fire. My Dad always used to say, "Don’t let your money burn a hole in your pocket." Maybe he knew something about Feng Shui??
Incorporate the colors of Money, Growth, & Prosperity in the SE: Green, Brown (Wood) & Blue, Black, Purple (Water). Avoid White, Gold, Silver, or Grey (Metal). Minimize the shades of Red, Orange, Maroon and Pink (Fire). Apply the "Money Colors" & elements in your walls, carpets, flooring, drapes, pillows, throws, furniture, and decorative accessories.
Hang Artwork in the SE that incorporates lush foliage, growing trees, rivers, lakes, streams, waterfalls or a calm ocean scene. Use wooden frames (increases wealth) and avoid metal frames (destroys wealth). Avoid artwork that represents stunted growth, stillness, stagnation, or death since these will harm your earning potential.
Mandarin oranges represent Gold (money) in Feng Shui. Place a bowl of 8 (prosperity number) fresh or faux Mandarin Oranges in a wooden bowl in the SE to attract more Wealth into your life.
Hang a mirror in the dining room to symbolically double the food that is served as well as your family’s wealth.
