- Children are very sensitive to the "feng shui" in a home!
- Keep the room clean, organized & uncluttered. Avoid piles objects on the floor! This is draining and hinders sound sleep.
- Open windows & blinds to let in fresh air and vibrant life force.
- Use all natural toys, cleaning products, bedding, furniture, and decorative accessories.
- Use soft wall paint colors. Soft yellows, pink, green, blue. Fire colors too stimulating: difficult to sleep. Dark blue (drowning).
- Position bed with a solid wall behind head. "Empowering position"
- Beds: Natural wood. Solid, rounded headboard. Quality mattress, Allow chi to circulate around & under bed. Avoid shelves on headboard. Bunk beds not recommended.
- Bedding: Natural fibers, solid or simple prints. Avoid busy "action figure" or busy cartoon designs.
- Avoid sharp edged furniture or exposed bookshelves.
- Incorporate artwork that is beautiful, vibrant and provides fun & fantasy. Reflection of child. Peaceful, soothing images of nature, children, dolphins, mermaids, angels, fairies. Avoid "action figures", monsters, excess of active sports or anything harsh or antagonistic.
- Incorporate soft, rounded live plants and fresh flowers.
- Avoid cactus (prickly relationships); bonsai (stunted growth); dried flowers (draining).
- Do place round faceted prisms in sunny windows to bring in "rainbows of joy", vibrant chi.
- Natural stones or crystals bring in nature.
- Avoid "overload" of electronics.
- Study Area Tips: Do not have study desk flush against a wall. Turn desk around so a view of expansiveness in front and a solid wall behind back. No shelves over head or behind back. Can use screen to divide from rest of room during sleep hours. NE of bedroom is the "Wisdom" location. Enhance with images that inspire growth, learning & development.
- Peaceful Family Dining: Play tranquil music. Soft lighting. Light a candle & offer blessing. TV & phones off. Seasonal flowers from garden. Round or oval table for harmony. No sharp edges pointing towards table. Avoid ceiling fans or exposed beams over dining table. Display family photos & children’s artwork in dining area. No clutter.
