Creating Beauty, Harmony & Tranquility
Feng Shui Boston > Flying Stars for 2010 > Flying Stars for 2010
On February 14, 2010 (Day of the New Moon) we enter the Year of the Golden Tiger. Chinese New Year is traditionally celebrated for the first 15 days of the lunar calendar, culminating in a full moon on February 28. The Flying Star cycle officially starts every year on February 4, though many begin to feel the shift in late December or early January. It is advisable to start making the changes in your home at the end of December, throughout January and early February.
Just as you grow and develop, your feng shui and Chi is never static. Each lunar year the Chi shifts and needs to be rebalanced and fine-tuned to take full advantage of the positive incoming energies. It is critical to address this powerful time dimension of feng shui called "flying stars".
The key is to energize & activate your home and office for Abundance, Success, New Opportunities, radiant Health, and smooth Relationships where the "Flying Stars" are favorable. It is equally important to neutralize the "imbalanced" locations. Enter the New Year with optimism, harmony and peace! Being proactive allows your personal and business life to flow smoothly as you transition into the new cycle.
Flying star uses compass directions and time periods to define the flow of positive and negative energy. It is the most powerful of all the feng shui formulas, though it does require experience and diligence to study and to master.
In the following pages you will learn how to re-balance your environment in 2010, including advanced applications of how to activate the favorable flying stars as well as how to protect yourself against the afflictions. Summary charts of the Flying Stars for the years 2011-2014 have been included for your convenience and advance planning.
Each year, different energies (Stars) will arrive (Fly) in each compass direction/location. They also shift hourly, daily & monthly, which is difficult & impractical to manage for most. Adjusting to the Annual energies will be the focus of all recommendations in this section.

"This tenth year of this new millennium 2010 takes us into the Year of the Golden Tiger, a year that brings us some warning signs as well as some spectacular indications.
First, the good news... the feng shui chart has the powerfully auspicious 8 in the center and this suggests that the year will not be lacking in opportunities for those lucky enough to spot them.
But the Year of the Tiger also has some dire warning signs. To start with, the year's elements of stem and branch clash. We see here the heavenly stem of Metal (Ruling Element of 2010) destroying the Tiger's branch element of Wood - hence we call this the Year of the Golden Tiger. This is an inauspicious sign as it suggests turmoil and continued conflicts in the world.
Then there is the missing Spring, which is a sign that economically the world as a whole will not be performing very well. Growth is lagging and for certain industries, growth could be stagnant or even negative. It will be a year of extremes with excellent luck for some people and totally dry for others. It is not going to be an easy year.
The year will favor those whose feng shui is in sync with the elements of the year."
